Schroeder Architects is shaped by decades of practice at the intersection of community, culture, and the built environment. From the firm’s earliest work, our focus has been on understanding how people live, gather, move, and engage with shared spaces—and translating those patterns into architecture that is both grounded and responsive.

As early pioneers of lifestyle-center and mixed-use development in the 21st century, the firm developed a deep understanding of “third spaces” and the relationship between work, living, leisure, and public life. That foundation continues to inform our work today, even as the definition of community space has expanded and diversified. While development models, technologies, and cultural expectations have changed over time, our approach has evolved alongside them—allowing us to remain relevant across shifting trends, markets, and modes of use.

Schroeder Architects operates as a principal-led firm, with direct involvement and leadership guiding every project.  Clients and project partners value the firm’s expertise to lead complex teams, coordinate across disciplines, and navigate projects with both creative insight and practical rigor.

Our work spans a wide range of project types, including master planning, sports and recreation, entertainment, dining, retail, civic, religious, educational, workplace, and residential environments.
